    Still worth reading

Not a classic like to kill a mockingbird but Scout has grown up exactly as I imagined her and Atticus' faults make him even more of a hero

    Disappointed

I was, maybe unrealistically, hoping that this would be just like To Kill A Mockingbird but was seriously disappointed. I don't know, it might have been all the hype beforehand as well. I can, and have, read and reread To Kill A Mockingbird many times but I don't think this will have a second outing. I found it very hard work to read.

    Worth the wait.

An exceptional sequel; heart-wrenching and gripping. Jean-Louise is no longer a small tree-climbing tomboy, but a grown women who is concerned for her father's mental health. Sad but a great read.

    A Worthy Second

Not as good as To kill a Mocking Bird. Certainly worth reading though. Sad, funny, frustrating and thought provoking. It was interesting to see the characters in a different light.

    Go set a watchman

An interesting character study showing a different side of both the characters and the attitudes towards African Americans in the southern states. A worthwhile read though not as good as To Kill a Mockingbird. Don't jump to conclusions too quickly about Atticus. Read on.
