  • Eye opening and gripping reading.

Thank you Zeldina for this book. It was both heart warming and sad. Like the book and movie Long walk to freedom, yours opened my eyes to many thing and brought about an understanding about Madiba and the events of apartheid and the struggle and our subsequent democracy that I didn't have before because I was too young at the time to understand. I recommend your book to anyone who will listen.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Good read

Slow start, but got hooked and couldn't put it down again, love the other perspective of the story we all know.

  • Good morning Mr Mandela

Although a large part of the book concentrates on Zelda's own perceptions and experiences, it allows us who didn't know Madiba personally to get to know a little bit of the amazing person that he was and what his life post prison was like. A truly thoughtful, sensitive story with lots of emotion. Beautifully written.

  • Ms

Sadly poor translation allows the book to lose much of its impact. There is a hint of it but generally I found it a clinical list of events and meetings. Wish had read Afrikaans version
