  • guarding my heart

i read this book as part of an arc program. This story is about Liam, a young, rich man whose family owns a winery. Liam has dropped out of college and is partying every night after he was dumped by his boyfriend Paul. Paul left Liam to marry a woman and he left Liam brokenhearted. There have been a few threats against Liam's family, so they hired body guards for everyone. When Liam's bodyguard was injured when they were out drinking, Scott is his replacement. Scott is a lot more professional and takes his job seriously in protecting Liam. Scott is determined to be with Liam every second and will not allow him to ditch him to party. When Liam tries to flirt with Scott, Scott tells him he is not interested and to keep thing professional. When Liam acts like a brat, Scott tells him there have been more threats. Liam asks his father and learns there are threats to Liam and they are taking them seriously. Liam still thinks it is not a big deal and tries ti flirt with Scott. Scott finds LIam attractive and soon they kiss. When the threats escalate, Scott knows the dangers are real and vows to protect Liam, but when Scott gets injured, Liam realizes he has real feelings for him. I liked this story. I liked Scott and Liam together, i think their flirting was adorable and i think they both really liked the other. Liam seemed to grow up a lot and i think Scott learned to trust himself again. Good one.
