  • City Watch endures

The start of another fabulous thread into the lives of citizens living on the Disc. In particular the history of Sam Vimes, protector of the innocent (mainly), enemy of authority (in the usual SNCO style, passive agression), To be feared as he who is the only sane one who is half a glass the other side of sober! Great Pratchet humour, as usual brings those individuals recognised and reviled through out ones life in clear lurid detail. Something for everyone.

  • Superb!

It must be the fourth or fifth time that I have read this book, but I still laugh at it. Terry had a great sence of fun and it certainly shows here. Again I can only advise old readers to buy and enjoy this book.

  • Good in so many ways

This is where I started with Terry Pratchett and he has since become one of my favourite authors (ok favourite). His understanding of the human condition enabled him to poke fun at everyone who has ever walked upright. Recently re-read and still thoroughly enjoyed.

  • Beginning

This book is a great starting point for the new Discworld reader. You can stick to the watch novels from here out and not feel like you are missing out from the first 8 books.

  • good humoured

I tbought this might be similer to the Lord of the Rings and be dificult to follow. This was not the case. A nice fantasy world and writen with good humour throughout.
