  • Spellbinding.....

Laura Elliot has succeeded in capturing undivided and intense attention. It is a relentless page turner until the final conclusion that ended in a way that left me wanting more. Not a grand finale but a feeling of a promise for more to come and I so look forward to the next chapter in Karl Lawson's journey.

  • Guilty

This is a novel which takes revenge to a whole different level. An adoring uncle is tried and found guilty by the media of murdering his teenage niece. The media latches onto him mercilessly and he loses everything and everyone he holds dear. In a stunning about face the journalist whose news stories have been the catalyst for his arrest provides yet more evidence to prove him innocent. This begins a new chapter in their lives and rather than give away the story line I suggest you read this book. It is so intriguing with a plot that is way out there. Enjoy, I did very much.

  • Tense until the last page

This is a brilliantly written book with a very emotive theme. It demonstrates perfectly how vicious and fickle the media can be and instrumental in wrecking people’s lives and/or reputations just to enhance their journalistic career. It makes you wonder about “Innocent until proven guilty” when the media wolves and the public start their hate-campaigns. I thought it was also brought out well how loyalties are often paper-thin during a crisis. Also how scarily invasive the media can be. It’s really quite a scandalous read, very cleverly woven so you are stretched until the end to find out what is happening fully. I love this author's books. Thank you to NetGalley and publisher in exchange for a review.
