  • It’s Country Time!

Hannah’s uncle emptied her business bank account and left her with nothing. The bar (the Country Time) has been in her family for a long long time, so she desperately wants to save her business. Saving the bar is a major plotline. But it’s also about finding love. Deacon, bartender, who has been in love with her forever, is there for her. The only option Hannah can think of, the only option she can afford, is asking her ex for help. Her ex who is also Deacon’s brother. Some serious brother rivalry going on! The POV changes from Hannah to Deacon and back. I liked it, but it didn’t turn into a page-turner for me. Some parts dragged a bit. I liked Deacon the best, he was nice. Not pretty pretty like his brother, but still very attractive and way more reliable and caring. He’s a bit unsure about his receding hairline, which I thought was very realistic. Hannah was a bit short with him at times; the way she talked to him, especially in the beginning! A bit condescending. He didn’t deserve that. But that got better later on. Some adult scenes. Maybe a little too much emphasis on the physical for me. It was a bit crude here and there. I’ve read better adult scenes. But overall, it was a nice read.
