  • Sinful. Soulful. Sensational.

Hard To Score by K. Bromberg was an irresistible combination of swoony, sexy and angsty. The intoxicating adrenaline rush of a great sports romance came together with a heartaching love story. K. Bromberg once again delivers a power packed performance. ( I reviewed an early copy voluntarily)

  • Loved it

5 star review Hard to Score (Play Hard #3) by K.Bromberg Having read the previous books in this series I couldn’t wait to read to Hard to Score. As with many books by Ms.Bromberg, this one ticked all the boxes for me and I was riveted to the story she wove from the first to the last chapter. I really loved Brexton Kincade and Drew Bowman both separately and together. Brexton is shocked to learn that Drew is the next star she is supposed to sign to her family’s agency. However, these two have a complicated history and even though both know that the line should not be crossed, it doesn’t take long before it is. Drew knows that by becoming involved with Brexton it will destroy his father but even knowing that he cannot help but give in to the attraction that sizzles between them. Will the secrets of the past destroy their chance of happiness? The journey for Brexton and Drew is rocky, but if they can work through the past and come to terms with it, then they might get the happily ever after that they both deserve. This book has it all; angst, spice, steam with characters who are easy to engage with and you cannot help but become invested in their story.

  • Beautiful written childhood friends to lovers

Hard to Score is a beautiful written childhood friends to lovers story. It is part of the "Play Hard" sports romance series but can be read as a standalone. The book follows Brexton, one of the Kincade sisters and Drew, a talented quarterback. Close friends during their childhood and teen years, they lose touch due to a scandal between their families and reconnect 9 years later only to find that they have crazy chemistry. As with the other books in this series, I liked both characters a lot. They are both strong, determined, beautiful people inside and out. Drew is going through a lot for most of this book. He is conflicted and hurt by the scandal that took place when he was 18 years old. And Brexton is there for him, supporting him as best she can, although she is also plagued by insecurities of her own. I also appreciated how, as in previous books, the characters as slightly older and also the author takes this opportunity to show how hard it is for a woman to be successful in the sports management industry, a field mostly dominated by men.

  • A must read!

If you're looking for a book that will consume you from the very beginning to the very end, then you definitely must read Hard to Score. The third book in the Play Hard series by K. Bromberg, this heartfelt and emotional second chance story has a steady flow of family drama, secrets, lies, heartbreak, angst, witty banter, off-the-charts chemistry, steamy scenes, that all wraps up with a happily ever after. I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

  • Loved this Beautiful & Sizzling Romance!

Hard to Score is an absolutely beautiful, and compelling forbidden love story! It was so heart-stoppingly romantic, heart-poundingly poignant, and totally addictive! Brexton and Drew's families were extremely close, even going on family vacations together every year. Brexton always had a crush on Drew, and during their last vacation, they shared her first kiss. But misunderstandings happened causing Brex to leave heartbroken. Then right after, something unimaginable happens and their families become estranged. Now years later, Brex unexpectedly finds Drew as she is trying to recruit another player to her firm. Old sparks instantly come to life for them both and they can't stop thinking of the other. Brex seeks out Drew and they easily fall back into their old friendship while enjoying finding out who they are today. Drew loves how Brex grew into an intelligent, confident, breathtaking woman that he can easily talk to. Brex loves how he challenges her, his wit, easy smile, and passion for football. They can't stay away from each other and their chemistry is explosive. But Drew keeps his family secrets closed up tight, and the betrayal he has endured from the game and people he loves most, makes a barrier that might be too thick for Brex to break through. I love the chemistry between Drew and Brex so much. They fit so perfectly together, challenging each other, their deep love for their families, and their shared passion for football. I loved how romantic and swoony Drew was as he tried to do right by Brex. But my heart also broke for him as he worked tirelessly for those he loved. Bromberg expertly weaved a multifaceted and rich story about love and sacrifice, loyalty and betrayal, passion and heartache so beautifully. This story is so alluring and seductive, and you definitely feel every emotion. I was not ready for it to end. This is a beautiful, emotional, and sizzling romance that is a must read!
