  • Funny but not laugh out loud funny

When I selected this book I was looking for a laugh out loud kind of book. While there were moments in this story that were funny it was not the laugh out loud kind of laughter. I found this book at times to be funny because of been there before having had 3 children myself. This story is about a couple who have 3 children and the reality that your sex life can at times take a back seat to taking care of the family. Meg is doing her best to balance family and a job. She believes her and Danny’s marriage is on track and going well. But when a package is delivered and a sex toy is found inside Meg finds herself wondering, “What happened to my sex life?” Meg goes back to the beginning of their relationship to wonder if it could have all been different if they had not moved away from the city back to Danny’s home town so he could take his place at the family Paper Company. As Meg tries to understand what is going on with Danny, she is surprised by what she finds. Will the reporter in her uncover what is really going on with Danny? Is there marriage in trouble? How will Meg show her face around town if Danny is having an affair? Or is there a secret that Meg learns that could affect the family’s reputation? This is an adult book and contains adult content. Overall I did enjoy the book. I would like to thank Netgalley for the complimentary copy. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Funny, but not hilarious

I honestly thought I was in for a good laugh with this book, but truthfully, I laughed, well sniggered twice. It's an OK read, but not laugh-out-loud funny and quite filthy in some parts. I'd not lend it to my mother, that's for sure!

  • Good Read

After reading the reviews I couldn't not download this book.. It didn't disappointed me. Laughed out loud in some places, which is quite rare in books. The characters are well though out and likeable. I'd definitely get more books from the author. A good holiday good. Just get lost in the story and scenery. Highly recommended.
