  • Haunted & Wicked is a steamy love story!

Haunted & Wicked by Liz Gavin is a story about why messing with the heart and body of a vodoo witch or priestess is a bad idea. This book is an entrancing story about a mismatched couple of a movie star Clara and a ghost Marcel who have lost their ability to be together due to one woman’s interference . This story is a steamy, sexy, and romantic ghost story. One of the best parts of this tale beyond it’s romantic nature is that the sex scenes in this book are so hot they practically gave me a fever. If you love a steamy love story like I do than this book is for you. Haunted & Wicked is a steamy, sexy, and romantic ghost story!

  • A great start to a new series

Marcel a playboy in the 1860's in wicked New Orleans was the abject of lust from a voodoo witch Marie-Claudette hen he wouldn't reciprocate her love she cast a spell on him that caused his death but also locked his spirit to his home so he would be bound eternally. Now his home is the scene of a BDSM club. Clara is a movie star but what people don't know is she is also an empath when she visits Club Desire in New Orleans she draws the attention of Marcel Can she help him be free and what is the significance of Halloween Be aware that this book does end on a cliffhanger and I am now waiting for book two

  • Paranormal with a twist!

This is an interesting take on a menage romance, entertaining but a quick read. Clara an actress, Sam the Dom and Marcel a ghost make a fun trio. A well written paranormal with a twist, intriguing characters and a sexual experience I've never read before make me want to read book two of Club Desire.

  • Great novella, enough to want more

I have a love/hate relationship with novellas. On the one hand, I like them for the quick read that they are. If the characters aren’t engaging, or the plot is boring, a novella is just enough. On the other hand, some novellas have characters and a plot that make me wish they were full novels. Haunted & Wicked falls solidly in the latter category. The concept was good, the characters were fascinating, and the steamy plot had me quickly turning pages. The twist at the end was especially exciting and had me regretting that it ended where it did. I would have gladly read more about Clara and Marcel and look forward to future installments in the Club Desire series. This review was written based on a pre-release digital ARC. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Special connection

I loved the way Marcel and Clara connected with each other! Too bad they weren’t able to do that more often. I’d hoped Sam would have a bigger role in the story. Or maybe he will in the next book? I truly hope so! This is obviously a book 1 or a prequel to a series. Fortunately the intensity was high enough to look forward to what comes next! What I didn’t like so much that I didn’t get to know the witch’s point of view. That would’ve really added to the story. I received a copy from Booksprout and this is my honest and voluntary review.
