  • Leo the Lionhearted vs Teddy Behr

Theodora “Teddy” Behr has been summoned home and daddy isn’t happy with his princess. He’s not even accepting her calls to explain about the turtledove mishap at the Plazzo San Marco. It’s also Teddy’s 30th birthday. Well happy birthday to the party girl… she’s been gifted the chance to work every menial job available at her own hotel. If that weren’t bad enough the insufferable brute her father left in charge has absconded with her suite and stuck her in a “closet.” Yeah life for the goodwill ambassador of Behr Foundation has just got one heck of a set down. Teddy would complain to daddy about all her perceived mistreatments, but people have been keeping daddy’s health problems from her. When she’s confronted with them, she knows she can’t add to his stress and jeopardize his health even more. So she hunkers down and gets to work with nary a complaint, even though it’s pretty obvious her step mother and the boss’s PA have it out for her. Things would be fine if she didn’t have to deal with the overbearing lout that treats her like a self-entitled airhead. Oh and it doesn’t help that he positively turns her on. Leonardo Guerra, self-made hotel tycoon was fit to be tied at the damages Theodora Behr’s latest party created in his Plazzo San Marco, millions in damage. In fact, he’s out for a little tit for tat and he’s got her right where he wants her, over a barrel with no options. It’s time for the little party princesa to grow up and accept some responsibility for her reckless behaviors. Of course, Leo has no real clue who Teddy really is, but he’s about to find out. The one thing he does know is that she’s a delicious knock out that has a habit of getting under his skin. As the week slips away with the preparations for the hotel’s grand re-opening, Leo has the opportunity to see he’s been perhaps a bit too harsh and judgmental, but damn the girl is an accident waiting to happen. He also comes to realize he’ll do whatever it takes to make her part of his life permanently. The struggles and heat between these two is positively delicious. The sparks fly continuously. Things move at a fairly quick pace. If things aren’t smooth sailing enough between the two, then dealing with corporate espionage, down right sabotage, pervert guests, surly chefs and murder definitely amps the challenges these two are faced with. I really enjoyed Heat Tempter and would recommend it to fans of billionaire contemporary romance. Review copy provided via Candid Book Reviews in exchange for an honest review.

  • Would recommend.

Just finished reading Heart Tempter by Sophia Knightly. Was a little skeptical when I read the blurb for the story. Ultimately, I fell in love with Teddy and Leo. Teddy is an heiress that has a tendency to leap before thinking through her actions. Leo is a man that thinks everything through and is out to prove his worth. Teddy and Leo's path crosses when she is summoned home due to bad choice she made and finds out Leo is currently running her father's hotel. When I was given an ARC of this story I was intrigued but skittish due to the suspense element. I was scared it would overpower the romantic story. Ms. Knightly proved me wrong. Heart Tempter was a balance of just the right amount of romance and intrigue. Loved it and would recommend this story to any reader.
