  • 5 STARS!!

I'm not one to write a review for a book that has been reviewed like crazy, but I have to say a few words about Heaven and Hell. If you are a regular reader of Kristen Ashley's books, you are then familiar with KA romance stand-by's: Alpha hero; troubled, but strong and usually funny heroine; a bad guy or two; lots of amazing secondary characters and relationships; and finally Rock Chick, Colorado Mountain, and/or 'Burg cameo(s.) Although not a part of any series (yet,) there were some fun cameos of some KA favorites. To fully enjoy the cameos, make sure you have read (at least) the first 7 RC books, the first 2 CM books, and the first 3 'Burg books. Kristen Ashley is always a favorite of mine to read, but I don't always give 5 stars. Heaven and Hell was definitely a 5 star for me. I didn't enjoy the epilogue in this one as much as I have other books, but I do love that she most always gives us that glance into our MC's future. What I most loved about this story was the vulnerability of Sam. You don't often see it in KA's alpha hero's . Yes, Sam was overt alpha, straight talking, highly skilled in nearly everything, etc, but when he retreated and the darkness of his past enveloped him, I was heart-broken. I have not felt this emotionally invested in one of KA's heroes before. Mace, from Rock Chick Reckoning, came close. I enjoyed the change and can't wait to get into the next book.

  • Heaven and Hell

Loved this book a lot! I like the way Kristen writes. She gets you really knowing the characters in the story and it is hard to stop reading! When the book ends you are sad that it has ended.

  • I love it!

Never use it just to breathe...he said. Sometimes the hardest decisions are the best ones to make. Never take your self for granted. That's what I learned from this book. In everyone she teaches another lesson.
