  • Rosamund and Kevin

Just before he died the Duke of Hollinburgh changed his will. The new beneficiaries were three women to whom he left quite nice inheritances. This story is about Kevin Radnor, nephew to the Duke, and Rosamund James, a milliner and one of the ladies who received an inheritance from the old Duke of Hollinburgh. Kevin is an inventor. He has a good mind, very intelligent, but woeful social skills, very awkward. Rosamund is a talented hat maker and owns a profitable shop. She is a kind and caring person. She is smart and plans to use her windfall to take care of her sister and open a second shop in London. After searching for a year, Kevin locates Rosamund. They are at odds from the very beginning. She will not give up her share of the enterprise, and he won’t give her credit for anything, not her intelligence or her business savvy. Is there a solution to their disagreement, a compromise perhaps? There is a lot of attraction here, but if there is a happily ever after in here, is will be hard won. Can they do it? A story with a bit of mystery and a mildly chaotic adventure and an entertaining cast of characters. Interesting. A good read. I recommend it.

  • Smart and steamy

Kevin is shocked that his late uncle the duke left half of Kevin's business to the beautiful owner of a milliner shop. Rosamund insists on becoming an active partner. The entanglement quickly leads to an irresistible attraction. Can Kevin convince her that a marriage of convenience will serve them both? And will such an arrangement be enough for tender-hearted Rosamund? Madeline Hunter has crafted another smart, steamy historical romance with vibrant characters and a captivating plot. This fast-paced story reveals its secrets gradually, keeping interest high until the very end. I loved these characters and how perfectly they fit together. I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

  • Simply Wonderful!

When least expected, something great happens and it seems your dreams have come true. That is the case when Rosamund Jameson met the Duke of Hollingburgh, who gave her a generous bag of coins for helping him. What is more surprising is when she finds out he has left her money in his will and part of a business! Kevin, one of the Duke's nephews cannot believe it when he finds out his uncle has left half his company to a total stranger! But when he tracks her down, the sparks fly! Another great addition to this enchanting series, full of mystery (what happened to the Duke?) and humor and of course a chance at true love!

  • Highly Enjoyable - A must read

This definitely a page turner. The dialog was feisty, sarcastic, witty and sometimes downright rude. Yet through it all the characters stayed true to their personalities. They just became more sensitive to each other. Kevin was not used to sharing and now he had to share his life's work with a woman. Not just any woman but Rosamund. I really liked Rosamund. She may not have spoken eloquently but she was sharp, discerning, relied on her gut impressions and she did not play games. She liked things out in the open and liked being politely direct. Kevin on the other hand was semi-eccentric. He was obsessed with his invention and felt that no one would understand his dream nor his drive on an unproven invention. He was desperately wrong and each time reality slapped him in the face he became more humane. A great story. A must read. I do recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review. Reasons I enjoyed this book: Entertaining Page-turner Realistic Steamy Unpredictable Witty Wonderful characters

  • Refreshing

A delightful read. A commoner and someone of the Ton fall in love! What a well written journey as the two explore why they are better together, than separated by Class distinctions. I loved it. It is always refreshing when two people complete each other in a marriage.
