  • Hero’s Haven

I really do like this series and looked forward to reading this one. It didn’t disappoint either. Can highly recommend (but start at the beginning of series if you can). I like the humour, not so keen on the fighting so tend to skim over that , same with the sex scenes (I can do without it). It’s one of those stories that you fall into and become part of. I do worry about poor little Paxton tho so I hope we get that sorted next book.

  • HOT, HOT, HOT!

Haven has some issues and thinks she is crazy (of course her step-father helped that along). Then along comes Quade who played an important role in what she thought of as her delusions, but he is VERY real and HOT. Haven is all that helped Quade get through his trials and tribulations of keeping Ulric captured (he’s a bad guy, BTW). This is part of Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors Series and is a great addition to the series. Zanetti is one of those authors that knows how to weave a good story and is on my automatic read list. It was interesting to see how Haven and Quade finally …well can’t say what as that would tell all that there is to tell for this story. If you want to find out how it all works out grab a copy of this bookend enjoy! Thanks to netgalley for an advanced copy of this book for an honest opinion.

  • Good read

I enjoyed the Dark Protector's books (I had read up to book 7) and then received this ARC and decided to just go in since I knew about the backstory. While it COULD be read as a standalone, I wouldn't suggest it. There's a lot of stuff and knowledge that you wouldn't quite understand until further along in the story, so I just say read the previous books (even though this is a "spinoff" with mostly new characters). I liked the plot and characters. The story was action packed, full of banter, good relationship buildup as well as character buildup. I liked that both main characters were very supportive of one another. I enjoyed Haven's character. She's a new one for me. She was strong, smart, sassy, independent, compassionate, determined, sweet, with a touch of vulnerability. I felt bad for her upbringing, but am glad she finally found a family of her own. Quade was a good hero. He was protective, sweet, loyal, determined, and had some funny moments. I liked watching him learn the new world (technology, lingo, etc) and adapt to everything thrown his way. All in all, this was a good read. Thank you NetGalley for this copy. This is my honest review.

  • Another amazing book by Zanetti

Haven Daly has always believed she had mental problems and that the worlds she travels to in her dreams are a part of that. But that quickly changes when she travels to Quade Kayrs dimension and pulls him out when it explodes. She finally learns the truth about herself and her heritage. Together they must stop Ulric from escaping his prison dimension, all while fighting Cysts and dealing with their mate bond. I loved this book. Quade and Haven were so cute together. Quade was an extremely protective, sexy alpha male, who was also pretty funny. He has suffered so much and to see him finally happy made me giddy. I loved seeing him learn and struggle with all the technology and inventions. His obsession with toothpaste made me laugh so hard. Haven was smart, sassy, artistic, and emotionally fragile. Her past was so heartbreaking and I am glad she finally got some closure. I do wish her adoptive parents had more of a painful ending. They really deserved it. Haven and Quade were perfect together. Their relationship was filled with chemistry and was just perfect for me. Together these two healed each other and learned how to love. They were so supportive of each other, even when they were butting heads. It was perfect. I can’t get enough of this series and really can’t wait for the next book. *ARC provided by Netgalley for an honest review.*

  • Fun couple!

Hero's Haven is Quade and Haven's story. I'm so glad Quade has finally come home. It was pretty fun to see him adjust to technology after being away for so long. He's still got that famous Zanetti alpha personality that I love so much. Haven is one of my more favorite heroines in this series. She's not a fighter at all but that never seemed to be a handicap for her. It's cool to find out what she is and the capabilities that she has. She played such a big role in this book. This couple was fun. I really loved how he tried to insert his dominance and she just said no. Their banter was entertaining. I'll never get tired of seeing everyone again in each new book. I just love this world that RZ has created. This is one of those series where I hope we get tons of books but also makes me anxious to see how this is all going to play out with Ulrich. I'm willing to be patient because we have more Zanetti males to find their mates. Benny is going to be one crazy ride!
