  • Suspenseful, Nail-biting so!

Hide And Seek is the second book in the September Day series by Amy Shojai but it is the first book I have read written y her. This is by no means your mother’s cozy animal mystery. It is an excellent edge-of-the-seat, psychological thriller. A trio consisting of one woman, one dog and one cat face the threat from the past and the present day danger together. Instead of being alone there is a whole host of others who are also on their side. Despite the trust issues that abound in this group, they work as a team and family, making it an emotional story along with the hair raising suspenseful. I was surprised but pleased by the role hat the animals played in this book. They are major to the story being part of some of my favorite scenes. The plot is intricate with connecting lines that bring about a finish that I was afraid wouldn’t happened but it did perfectly. Here’s to “the chosen family”, New Year’s or any day of the year! The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Well written with just the right amount of mystery

I really enjoyed the interaction between Shadow and September. I would recommend this book to all animal lovers and disabled people who need guide animals.
