As all the others this story pulls you right into action. I truly wish her books would never end. Cannot wait to start the next.

Very thought providing. Proves the stories we read about religion and how cruel the nun were. How high the priest thought he was and how he brain washed he was.

Enjoyable read if you can make sense of time-line

Enjoy this type of story, however this was slightly spoilt for me by the fact that as this was supposed to continue on from the previous Four Streets book, how is it that the character Kitty has grown up but her siblings seem not to. In the first book Nellie was around the same age as Kitty's baby sister. In this book Nellie is now nine years old and Kitty's baby sister is still a baby. Also in the first book Angela was the second youngest child and in this book she is the second oldest. Nellie was around five years old when her half-brother was born - now she is nine and he is still a baby in a pram. Time-line doesn't make sense. A bit confusing.
