  • Easy book

Thank you NetGalley, Liz Hurley and Hera Books for the ARC of High Heels in the Highlands. This is my personal review. I started this book with the hopes of spending some time in a castle in Scotland. I wanted the uplifting , heartwarming romantic comedy as promised on the cover with each page I read. Unfortunately, it never hit this mark for me. The book was a tiny escape for a few hours for me.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Nice read

This was a nice read, I loved the setting and I loved how the main characters (Clem and Otto) evolve around each. It was nice to follow them from almost hating each other to finding out to be very similar. I also liked a lot the relationships between the sisters. Even if this is part of a series, can be read as a stand alone.. But it would probably make you want to read the other books of the series, and get to know more about the Hiverton sisters,so be mindful of that! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Highland fun

I loved this book! My very first by Liz Hurley, but it won't be my last. I really intend to go back and pick up the rest of the story of the Hiverton sisters. With that said, I didn't find it necessary to have read the first books to understand what was happening in the story line. Clem, Otto, Rory, and the gang really made me want to plan a trip to Scotland ASAP.!! Thank you to Hera Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

  • Highland fun

A cute rags to riches type story with a fun setting, romance and a little intrigue thrown in. I liked the thawing of relations between Clem and Ottie and their eventual friendship even though a lot of their initial conflict could have been resolved by having a simple conversation. The Scottish setting was good as was the mix of supporting characters. Clem was a bit hit and miss for me at times and I do wish there had been a little more time spent with her budding relationship with Rory. Overall an easy read.

  • I need to go to Scotland after this!

Have the urge to go to Scotland? Because this book is just what you need! With the quarantine and travelling plans put to a halt, it's always nice to discover new worlds through words and this book was the perfect getaway for Scotland! So much detail and thought went into the setting, making sure the reader saw exactly what the author was imagining at the moment. It was nice to get a glimpse into the author's mind but to also make it our own in our own imagination. This really was a feel good book. I love the name Clementine for starters, how cute and feel-good is that name? Clementine herself was a very hot-headed and stubborn character which made her all the more likable and perfect for Rory. Also, the fact that she's a fashion designer that goes to live in a run-down castle in a rural area is just wonderful juxtaposition! This is my first book I've read in this series and by Liz Hurley and I am determined to read about the rest of the sisters and their adventures! Thank you to NetGalley and Hera for the earc in return for an honest review.

    Thanks for your feedback!
