  • I thought it would never end...

It went on and on and was about as lame as lame could be. Characters were annoying... book was a waste of money!

  • Amazing every time

The first time I read this I was a teeager. Reading it again thirty years later, I think I loved it even more. Jude Deveraux has amazing plots that havea wayof making you turn the pages for hours. She doesn,t hold back wit the punches, yet she still has a gentle way of pulling at your heart strings.

  • If I could get the four hours of my life back...

My original review was around a thousand words but I decided to cut it -- the book itself was originally published in 1982 and is definitely a product of its time. The two main characters are both generally insufferable. The male love interest is misogynistic to the nth degree and that's never resolved. The main character never stops arguing and acts more like a spoiled kid than the responsible laird of a clan they originally try and make her out to be. I ended up finishing this book more because I bought it and less because I enjoyed it. If you like mindless smut you may enjoy some parts of it, but if you like character development it's probably best to look somewhere else.

    Thanks for your feedback!
