  • Need to be Accepted and Noticed

I liked the family environment of the story. The story was only from Travis' point of view and he was rather sweet. Didn't enjoy the sex scenes as much due to the language. But overall the story was quite nice.

  • Adjusting to change

Travis grew up in an abusive home, but from the age of ten found temporary refuge and support from his friend Joe Mastriano and his family. Travis, now a State Trooper, has been injured at a traffic stop right before the Thanksgiving holiday. Joe's family steps in to care for him just as they always have. Joe's youngest brother, Noah, is an ER nurse and takes it on himself to give Travis some after care while he recovers. Travis is gay and has had a crush on Noah since his teens. He's done his best to hide his feelings for the younger man but so much close contact and his shields slip. When Noah finally sees the love in Travis' eyes everything changes. While these two soon get past the brother dynamic they've always had between them not everyone is of the same feeling. Tensions arise and they have to make a choice between their love for each other and love of family.  Can they survive until everyone adjusts to the change? An interesting holiday read.
