  • This was an incredibly sweet story

I feel like I start almost every review for a Kennedy Fox book in this manner, but it's always a good time to return to a KF book again. They are some of my favorite romance writers, and my favorite writing duo. I love how easily I can slip into this world, and lately, their books definitely make me want to visit the South. This story brings us back to Texas and the Bishop Brothers world, but it's now a story about the previous series' kids. So if you remember from Taming Him, which follows River and Alex (full review found here), this story follows their son, Riley. A lot of time has passed since Riley is 23, but it's so nice to see all the characters we've grown to know and love from the last series, and also see mention of people like Grandma Bishop, and even Drew and Courtney. Although, I should stop saying kids, since they are grown up and this is their happily ever after now. Riley follows in the footsteps of his parents and definitely finds love on a whim when he visits Las Vegas with his friend Diesel. There he meets Zoey, who doesn't come from an overly warm family, but she is close with her sister, Summer. The trip for her is to celebrate Summer's bachelorette, but she is drawn to Riley. They only know each other for a few days, they spend the night together, Riley returns home thinking that is the end of things. There is a clear connection between the two, and even though Zoey mails him annulment papers which he signs, she finds herself driving across country to see if this is the real deal and to give it a shot. We see so many stories of the build up to the relationship and the will they or won't they, but I really appreciate stories like this one which just focuses on them getting to know one another, with the intention of being together. You see them grow as a couple and just spend more time as a couple doing regular things. I especially loved moments when Zoey would go off and spend time with his family, but then come back and tell him about it. You got to see their relationship blossom, but also see how Zoey really comes to find her place within the Bishop family. This was an incredibly sweet story, and Riley is definitely reminiscent of Alex. When they fall, they fall hard. I loved seeing that vulnerability present in Riley. I also just loved seeing him swoon over Zoey and just fall for her more and more. It was so sweet, and like his father, he knew exactly the right things to say. He made her feel loved, but he also made he feel that this was now her home too. As with all KF books, the friendship circle and family dynamics are always a fun addition too. I did find Diesel to be a bit over the top at times, but I'm excited to see how his story will work out in the next book with Riley's younger sister, Rowan. If you are a fan of KF books, this is a nice sweet treat! If you haven't started yet, there is a prequel/novella available called Roping the Cowboy to start you off! ;)

  • Hitching the Cowboy

Well written in depth story. Good personal stories of the main characters. And of how families try to mold children into their own way of life to keep others happy when one is of an age to make ones own life the way they want

  • What happens in Vegas … for better or worse

This is a sweet romance between a charming Texas cowboy and an outgoing hair stylist who have an instant attraction and connection after meeting by chance in Las Vegas. After copious amounts of drinking and a challenge or two, a quickie wedding occurs. When Zoey unexpectedly shows up at the Circle B Ranch, Riley’s hopeful they can make a go of their marriage. But will he be as thrilled when her secret comes to light? It’s a well written and entertaining story featuring likeable and endearing characters. There’s plenty of humour, flirty banter, some conflict, and drama along with several very steamy encounters. I enjoyed the easy connection between Riley and Zoey, along with their hot chemistry. I also enjoyed the close friendship and crazy antics between Riley and his bud Diesel. My one complaint was with Zoey’s parents who were somewhat clichéd in their attitude, expectations and efforts to dictate her life.

  • Cowboyy boots, Instant Attraction &Vegas Marriage

Getting married on a weekend adventure in Vegas is not what either Riley or Zoey had planned but a dare from Riley's best mate leads to exactly that. Zoey was there for a weekend to celebrate her sister's upcoming marriage. Vegas was just supposed to be for fun, waking up married to a handsome cowboy wasn’t part of the plan. Her life is in the city but the night that Zoey shared with Riley sparks flew. Could they make the weekend impulse into something more? Vegas is a long way from home for Riley. His cowboy boots are out of place but the ladies don’t seem to mind. Their chemistry is off the charts but living so far apart how can they make their impulsive marriage work? Full of instant love and an undeniable attraction Riley and Zoe are one sweet sexy read. EXPERT I remove my gloves and wipe the sweat from my brow. “Hey, husband, it looks like you’re working hard.” She unscrews the top of the bottle of water she’s holding and hands it to me. I run my eyes down her body, admiring the tempting curves I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. Right now, she’s the only thing I want to drink. “Thanks, wifey.” I flash her a wink before removing the steps between us and planting a sweet kiss on her lips. She sinks into me, and I have to force myself to pull away because if I don’t I won’t stop.
