    Holding the Man

Such a beautiful love story....I laughed and I cried. Holding the Man is a story about when Romeo meets Romeo - the ups and downs about being gay in the 1970s and 1980s. It also greatly touches the devastating affects of HIV/AIDS - in the Australian gay community. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves love, and enjoys a good well written story. it is so powerful and its impact is still being felt today as it did int he 1990s when it was written by Timothy Conigrave in his memoirs. This book has made me realize how important love and life truly is.

    Holding the Man

I read this because John, who is a central character is my cousin. I knew stuff was going on that was shrouded in secrecy but even in death the real truth was never uncovered. This is a beautiful account of his life with Tim. I just wish i could have said 'John, nothing matters, we love you regardless' but i never had that chance. RIP John & Tim

    Toxic Talks Holding the Man

This memoir is a visceral sucker punch tour de force. Expect comically candid accounts, heart-rending moments and an unapologetically honest exploration of the human condition through the life and times of Timothy Conigrave.

    A must read

This was a very well written, no holds barred account of what it was like growing up gay in the 70s and with the emergence of AIDS. I enjoyed this first hand account and really felt for both Tim and John. I couldnt put it down.
