    Second chance/reunion, emotional for me

This story was a surprise for me. It is the first I have read by Susanna Rogers. I loved both Lily and Nick as well as the secondary characters. This is a reunion/second chance story, and I enjoyed their journey to the realization they belong together no matter what obstacles there are. I loved when Nick took ownership of his feelings toward his father and how he felt more confident. Lily was a strong woman, doing everything she could to survive. Family was important, blood and otherwise, in this story. I highly recommend this story, and I look forward to the next book in the series. I received a copy of this story through Candid Book Reviews, and this is my unsolicited review.

    This surprised me....very good story

Very realistic and emotional young adult romance story with substance. Deals with the trials and consequences of being young and in love and then trying to rebuild trust after the love in "gone". I like Lily, she didn't play when it came down to being a good parent. I commend Nick for realizing the "error" of his ways and his tenacity to have a second chance at being a good parent and at love.
