  • Adorable!

One of my most favourite romcom manga! 🥰 It's a staple re-read for when I want to go for something light and cute.

  • Nerdy cuteness galore!

I have been in somewhat of a manga slump for years now, but a friend recommended ‘Horimiya’ and, with plenty of time on my hands anyways, I did. And now I’m fully hooked on the manga and the anime, which brings me back to my old otaku days. Furthermore, Hori-san is the kind of girl I would like to see more of in contemporary media. Perhaps this is also due to the fact she leads pretty much the same life as me (although she hasn’t been in quarantine for more than a year and studies from home). Miyamura, the male protagonist, is also someone I relate to a lot because he puts a different, less edgy image out into the world when he’s at school. However, when working in the bakery or walking the street he dresses and acts as himself. I don’t know how best to describe it, but for me he is a walking example of my personal balance between work, public and private life. In sum, if you are looking for a (maybe) relatable and nerdy love story, I highly recommend you pick this series up because it has transformed me into a mushy marshmallow.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • A Good Starter

Great pacing. A good mix of comedy and other stuff. It's generally a strong start that gives off the laughs and the fluffs.
