    Citizens of America

I found the book very interesting. The childhood struggle of Chinese Henry and his friendship with the Japanese girl Keiko created sympathy. Sadly Henry lost contact with Keiko and married Chinese Ethel. As a result became reunited with his father and lived happily but never forgot his love of Keiko. As his son Marty matured he realized the depth of his fath,er,s love for Keiko and reunited Henry with Keiko. The last few chapters were somewhat disruptive and difficult to follow and spoilt the book.

Really nice book. The characters were interesting and real. The story was somewhat predictable but endearing.
