  • An amazing intro to a new series!

I've read each book by this author as they've been released, and not been disappointed yet! Right from the beginning, her books have been filled with hard living, alpha males, and strong female characters. Each book has been connected to the previous, through characters, through events, through family. Yet this series is completely new, unconnected to any of the others, and about cowboys, of all things! I'm equal parts apprehensive, and excited beyond belief! I mean don't get me wrong, I like cowboys. What's not to like?!? But what do I know about Aussie cowboys? Are they the same as the ones we have here, at home? But then, I put it all aside, and opened the first page. Next thing I knew, I was turning the last page, in a total stupor. What an amazing story! This is another of those genres I love so much. Second chance, what happens when happily ever after, isn't so happy? Lenoxx and Makenna were young lovers, ready to take on the world, just to be together, to have their chance at their happily ever after. Until the unexpected tore them apart, seemingly forever. There were harsh feelings on both sides, covering up all of those wonderful love feelings. Life goes on, until suddenly, they are thrown back together again, neither knowing what they want to do about it. I absolutely love knowing that even in the most dire circumstances, HEAs always find a way to prevail! This was such an amazing intro to this series, and I really felt like I was dropped into a world that I'd never been to before. Don't get me wrong, I'm a country girl at heart, born and raised, so lots of their day to day activities were very familiar to me. That being said, the author kept true to her homeland, using local dialect, that just made me feel like I really was right there with them! This book was fun, and I enjoyed being there for them to find their HEA, but there were also enough serious, dramatic parts to keep the story moving along! I can't wait to see what she has in store for the other two brothers! I'm sure their stories will be just as amazing as this one was!

  • Full of wit, family, love and earning trust

I really enjoyed this story. It was a smart, witty, heart-breaking start to a new series. Love was not in doubt between Makena and Lenoxx. They had to find a way back to the trust they had before. Family was an important part of this story, both the good side and the bad side. Makena's need to prove herself to her father made her a stronger, independent person. Noxx's relationship with his parents was different and gave him a different perspective, though he was in for a couple surprises along the way. I highly recommend this book and look forward to the next in the series. I received an ARC of this story as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.

  • New cowboys to love

Leah is taking us on a new ride. Maybe not a steel horse but a actual horse. Her books are always a great read. Noxx world if ripped apart when Makena is sent some damaging information and believes the worse. Fast forward 4 years and their worlds collide. Can the trust be earnt back and will love prevail

  • I can't wait for the next one!

4 Stars Review by: Alysia Up All Night with Books Blog Late Night Support Group Hott and Taken by Leah Sharelle was a great easy read. It mixes small town with a billionaire, with a country twist. Lennoxx and Mackena grew up one town apart from each other, Although their fathers despised each other and took it out on the kids, Lennoxx and Mackena found a way to be together. That is until a giant wrench is thrown in the plan and all go badly very quickly. Lennoxx, Fenixx, and Hendrixx are triplets. They are identical and would play games with others by switching roles. It would work on everyone except one person, Mackena. She knew who was very fast. The town would call the boys Hottie 1,2, or 3, and were very jealous of the relationship Lennoxx and Mackena had. When Lennoxx saw Mackena for the first time he was done. It was love at first sight for him. He thought they would grow old together. Little did he know about "the wrench" that would be thrown at him. Mackena always knew that Lennoxx was it for her. She didn't care what her father thought. She chose him over everything. Yet one day she opens the door to an envelope that rocks her world on its axis. Years later they run into each other and it doesn't go well. You will definitely want to read to find out what happens. Leah Sharelle does a great job of showing the characters' emotions, and their mannerisms. I can't wait for the next one!
