    Military Novel

I found the book to be very fast reading. There's not much complexity to the plot and at times it was too easy to anticipate the next plot twist. I didn't care for the romantic angle that seemed to be an afterthought and didn't lend anything to the story except to make the characters seem unprofessional.

Slow and not as enthralling as hoped

Slow to develop plot. Lack of character development in that I did not feel a real sense of attachment or empathy.

    Canadian war drama.

Hyena Road, the book and the film, are amazing. Canada's war in Afghanistan, its never touched on. Paul Gross does an amazing job. Every young Canadian needs to read this book and see this film.

    Hyena Road

This book was a great read. At first I thought I was reading a true story. Then I realized it was a novel. One of the best I read in a long time. After reading., I had no choice but to watch the movie. Paul Gross did an amazing job with the book and the movie. Just wonderful.

    Hyena Road

A very strong into to the complexities of Canada's war in Afganistan. Both for the canadien soldiers and the locals trying to live their lives.
