5 star Review Las Vegas Sidewinders: Ian (# 15)  by Kat Mizera I have only read a couple of books in this series from Kat Mizera and have found them all to be highly entertaining and well written. I am sad to know that this may well be the last book in this series but when time permits, I will be looking at the other books as I have enjoyed all of the ones I have read so far. This is Las Vegas Sidewinder Ian Campbell and Everly Adamson’s story and what a fabulous way to bring the series to a close. Ian knows that he will soon have to make a decision whether not to accede to his grandfather’s wishes, not only is he a top NHL player but he is also lawyer, but all he wants is to take some time for himself back in his native Scotland. Everly is a photojournalist Everly Adamson who finds solace behind the lens of her camera. She has been hurt and betrayed in the past and doesn’t give her trust easily. When Ian steps up to help Everly out, it is the beginning of a romance, that will bring them both to their knees. This was a beautiful, romantic love story that will give you all the feels. Not only was there humour, but it was heart warming, sad and emotional, throw in the setting of Scotland and it castles and Ms. Mizera had me hook, line and sinker. When the secrets that Everly has hidden come to the surface, feelings will be hurt and trust lost. Can Ian be the man to help Everly come to terms with the emotional baggage she has? Or will Everly retreat and walk away? This book left me with a book hang over, but also with a smile on my face.

  • Perfect book to end the series on

Ian ( Las Vegas Sidewinders Book 15) is the final book in this series of stand-alone’s, I haven’t read all the books in this series but I’m working on it so I can certainly say hand on heart you can read and love this book without reading all the previous stories. This is Ian Campbell and Everly Adamson’s story and for their romance we are taken out of Vegas and back to Ian’s hometown of Edinburgh, Scotland. Ian knows his time of playing hockey could be coming to an end, he is back home showing off the Stanley Cup but he also has to met with his grandfather whom he promised he would only give hockey 5 seasons before taking the family title and joining the family firm..... Everly is a photojournalist in Scotland to photograph historic castles but the night she arrives she finds herself needing help when she crashes her car into a ditch and it’s Ian who comes to her rescue. When Ian steps up to help Everly he finds feelings he never knew existed and it’s a start of a budding romance but Everly has secrets from her childhood and it’s those secrets that could tear this couple apart.... what will Ian do when he finds out the truth.. This story touched me on every level, I laughed, I giggled, I sighed and I cried as I went on a journey through Edinburgh with this couple. This author did an amazing job with this heart warming, emotional love story and I found myself struggling to pick any other book up after this great read. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers it’s a gem you need to read.

  • Hot passion gets a dose of cold reality.

Hot passion gets a dose of cold reality. Mizera entrances hearts with a larger than life hero and down to earth heroine. Ian is not a rainbows and butterflies kind of read. Heartache runs deep through a river of secrets. Everly and Ian must learn to navigate emotions that threaten to overpower any chance they have of finding happiness. Ian is like walking through a maze. The twists are endless, but the reward far outweighs the risk.

  • Sores

Kat Mizera scores with Ian (Las Vegas Sidewinders #15). In this novel, Scottish hockey player Ian Campbell brings the cup home on his day of celebration after winning the Stanley Cup. While at his after party, he comes to the rescue of photojournalist Everly Adamson, who has been having a horrific day. This contemporary sports romance is suitable for adult readers. It takes place in Scotland, Seattle, and Las Vegas. Kat Mizera does a wonderful job with this story. Ian and Everly have amazing chemistry. Ian is an impressive character. Despite his accomplishment and pedigree, he is down to earth and modest. Everly has a great personality and liked by pretty much everyone she meets. However, she has a secret. I enjoyed this story. The characters made mistakes. I like that they did some soul-searching and grew. There were some good life lessons and heartfelt moments. Kat Mizera does a great job developing her characters and coming up with interesting plots. I recommend this story to people who enjoy sports romances and men in kilts. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
