  • An Epic Adventure

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole saga. It is inventive...who thought you could find another dimension through a computer screen. The author creates a wonderful land with descriptions you can see in your mind's eye and smell as if you are right there. It isn't the usual dragon story. There are underlying tones of morality that move the characters. The reader empathizes with Ian's desire to find his father and the fear he experiences in his quest. It's hard to put the book down.

  • Work of art

Ian’s Realm, The writing style really pulls you into another world, strange and mystifying with every word. I truly loved this story of a boy becoming a man. Through unconventional hardships and a portal to another realm, he becomes and unlikely hero in a world made real by the authors captivating thoughts brought to life onto paper. Are you looking for a slightly different fantasy? One complete with a mighty dragon, and chock full of excitement and heroic battles? This series is definitely worth the read! I urge you to try it out. Once you begin your travels, as with Dianne Gardner’s other novels you won’t be able to stop until the end.

  • More excitement than I anticipated!

Though this is a young adult fantasy, I have read it, my husband has read it and my teenage granddaughter has read it. None of us could put it down! I was hooked right from the beginning. The talent of this writer awakens all of your senses so you actually feel, hear and smell the dank dampness of a cave. You see the firelight flicker and you understand the dilemma that young Ian faces. This book took me down into a spiral of mystery and magic that I had not anticipated. You will want to share it but will surely want it returned so be sure to put your name in it!
