    Great read

Great start to a new hockey series. In the story we get a glimpse at several NY Nighthawk players and I see some great stories coming our way. Christian Chase is the team captain and should be focused solely on the team and upcoming season but the incredibly sexy Serena Ellis has him slightly distracted. I haven't read anything from the author before and after reading this book I must say I am a brand new fan. I very much enjoyed her storytelling style, characters, and story pace. I highly recommend this one to everyone.

    3.5 Stars!

Christian is the new Captain for the Nighthawks. He's won two Stanley Cups, very rich and can have any woman he wants. His life seems charmed but the author did try to make this unique and surprised me with Christian's situation. Usually hockey gods are treated as such but his new teammates, one in particular, seem to be willing to knock him down at any cost to the team due to jealousy. I gotta admit, I'm used to seeing the team unity in sports books. Serena is born from wealth but does not fit the mold. She's a beautiful girl who has battled body shaming her whole life. She's proud of who she is and will not let anyone make her feel ashamed. The book does focus a lot on her weight in the second half of the book. I'm not a big fan of body issues so I do wish there was less of it. I did like that for the most part, she wouldn't allow anyone to make her feel bad. That's not easy when others make it an issue. It's a good message to have in a book. These two together as a couple were a good match. This book is on the shorter side so it does feel a bit rushed but I liked them. I liked that she was sassy with him and treated him like he was a normal guy. I also liked that he never commented or thought about her bigger size. All he saw was beautiful curves that made his mouth water. Overall, a good message to send out to readers.

    Terrific hockey romance

Chris brings his experience to the new franchise team, and has his hands full as captain trying to bring all the various players together and solidify them into a cohesive team. Serena is determined to chart her own path, separate from her family's wealth and influence. Chris's chance meeting with Serena is completely unlike anything he's ever experienced before, right from the start, and she keeps him on his toes even as she proves to be the perfect complement to his life on the rink. Serena's been hurt enough before that she's raised her standards almost impossibly high. When Chris sees that as relationship goals rather than as a challenge to conquer, he quickly skates past all her defenses. These two have a lively, soul-satisfying journey to their HEA. It's everything we expect from a sports romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

    Nice and Hot

I like Christian. I like that he has doubts and flaws. His insecurities make him real. The mystery blonde too, sexy and sassy, I was hooked on her from the start. Ice Hot was steamy and sweet. Hard not to enjoy it with a spitfire like Serena. She is definitely someone I would like to hangout with. (Not because of hockey playing hottie she seemed to snag, but her.) It's a fun way to start a new series and I look forward to seeing what everyone gets up to in the future.
