    Thanks for your feedback!

A suspenseful read right to the end . . .

Ruth Ware's "In a Dark, Dark Wood", set in Ware's native Britain, is a suspenseful read from beginning to end. The protagonist, Leonora (aka Nora, Lee, and Leo) Shaw is a twenty-six year old writer living in London. She receives an email inviting her to a pre-wedding "hen" (British equivalent of a bachelorette) party for Clare, a friend from her childhood with whom she is no longer in touch. After some self-debating she agrees to attend, and from that decision we are immersed in an interesting mystery. Why are Leonora and Clare no longer friends? Why did Clare invite her to the party? How do the others in attendance relate to this story? Ware takes the reader on an interesting and sometimes scary ride through a few days in the lives of Leonora and Clare. The reader is left guessing at the outcome until very close to the end of the book. A very good read!

    Predictable

Overall an okay read. Very predictable. Wouldn't be running out to pick up another book by the author.

    Great, couldn't put it down

Easy to read, held my attention from start to finish. The characters were believable yet interesting and the setting made for great atmosphere.
