  • as good if not better than the original

Fills in a lot of the back story which was not there in the original I first read & rounds everything off

  • In Fury Born

I first read this book in the shortened version called Path of the Fury and was caught by the characters! When I finished that version all I wanted was more...then came In Fury Born which fleshed out the main character and made the rereading even more enjoyable and satisfying...but I have to say. "I want more, please". I need to know what happens next....this book is well worth reading and reading again and again!

  • If you haven't like his other works, try this one!

This is my favourite of Weber's novels so far! I've read his other work and a couple of the things I had a hard time with was his tendency to spend pages doing worldbuilding and intricate political plots that bogged down the plot. I also had a hard time with his tendency to kill off a lot of characters. Although that tendency is there in Alicia's backstory near the beginning, once the main story (i.e. Path of the Fury) begins it cools down to a simmer. The plot of this novel ticks along quite quickly, and the way Weber inserts the Fury into a sci-fi setting was very cool. I'd love to see another novel in this series! The characters were brilliant and the depth is awesome.

    Thanks for your feedback!
