  • In the Midnight Howl

Willy likes her job, usually. Willy loves her friends, always. Willy likes the Were-people of Peculiar, Mo. . When her likes conflict, she has to choose between heart and head. She's sent to town to investigate the possibility of a human living illegally in an all Were town. Except there turns out to be a whole lot more when the grand dam of town is murdered. The investigation turns up much more and some of her friends are in the bull's eye of a crime target. How is her serious attraction to Brady going to be affected? Why hasn't the sheriff done more? Where do her friends fit into this or is it these crimes? I love the relationship of Willy and Brady. A little hesitant, a lot hot. Another good read from Ms. George. This is a cozy with steam. Yep, I always think her mysteries are going to be cozy, but trust me, there is nothing cozy about them. They are steam with a mystery in the world of magic and Weres. The clues are doled out. The perps are not easily figured out and often the least likely. Friendships are one of the best aspects of these stories. The loyal friends and real people--well Weres. Always a good read and this is no exception. I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
