    Thanks for your feedback!

Great start to a new series

A beautifully woven tale of the relationship between three sisters, memories of their unconventional, deceased parents and the eldest sisters’ steps to provide for her sisters and forge a new life for herself. It is also the tale of a lonely little girl in the care of her loving uncle. Both are struggling to get past their losses. Is Leah simply and out-of-control hellion or a child misunderstood? Will the new governess be able to provide the missing pieces they both need before her young charge succeeds in getting rid of her? I really appreciated how the author let the story unfold slowly, naturally rather than resorting to the all too common instant love and acceptance found in many novels. Delightful!

Prepare to fall in love with the Staunton sisters and in particular Octavia, the eldest of the three. It had been twelve months since the death of their parents and they were formally ending their mourning. Having grown up in a small village with their mother a teacher, the village had taken them under their wing, but now they needed a plan to earn funds so that they could pay the bills and make ends meet. Maybe even buy some new dresses. When Octavia heard that the latest governess for Simon,Lord Althorn at Caswell Hall had quit, she saw it as her opportunity to get a job. Yes she was overqualified even though she had not had a formal education. I love this part when she marched in and almost demanded the job and yes, she did get hired! What she did not expect was how handsome he was because nobody really knew much about him! A wonderful journey to love and romance you will not be able to put down once you have started! I love her charge Leah who was Simon's niece and how kind he was to her.. Loved this story! I read this through Booksprout and the publisher.

Prim and proper finds her match?

Prim and proper finds her match? Octavia has suffered a major loss yet she has kept it together for her sisters. Now she has set out to make a life for herself and takes a job as a governess. Simon needs a governess for his niece so out of need they come together to solve the problem. Now that is not all because Simon realizes that he cares for this lady yet she is a governess and making a life with her would not be the thing to do. This is a good piece very well-written and it takes its time to develop. No major steamy parts it just a good romance. The ending will leave you with questions so be prepared. I highly recommend this gem. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it

a great start to a series

After the death of her parents and after their mourning period, Octavia decides to report to the Viscount to become the governor of his niece. She picks things up openly and without hesitation. Leah has already driven away several governors, Leah is a wild bras and actually an insecure girl of 6 years old who does not want to share her Uncle Simon with other women. Octavia conquers the heart of Leah and Simon. A beautifully described novel. You imagine yourself in the beginning of the 19th century where this story takes place. Where the rail network is starting to develop and trains are still a novelty. Octavia is an educated woman, not as common as it is today. She is civilized, timid but certainly not somebody to be put away. She is not ashamed of her background and still thanks her parents for the opportunities she has been given, even after their death. At the age of 21, Simon was given custody of his niece and the title of Viscount through the death of his brother. He does his best for his niece but does not know if he is enough for her. He is not really looking for a wife until he accepts Octavia as a governor. Simon is a patient man and a true gentleman as he approaches and respects Octavia. The sisters of Octavia also go their own way. Cassandra and Honoria. Very curious about their stories! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

    In the Viscount's Arms

A lovely regency romance that meanders from the path of familial love, to that of adults seeking a family of their own to cherish. Add in a precocious little girl and wait for the fireworks.
