  • For decades we lived with the lie

    The chapter on the numerous famines in India when the British did nothing to help, and continued to export food while multiple millions of people died an agonising death, (same behaviour as in Ireland). The Raj was a scourge on India. This book provides all the damning evidence. A must read for all who are interested in the realities of history!

  • A good account of colonialism

    Shashi Tharoor has done well to portray the account and balances of colonial rule that rampaged a blossoming sub-continent. While some facts remain controversial either deliberate or via distorted history, the book still unveils unspoken truth...
