  • The untold story of the woman behind Livingston...

The untold, thrilling story of the woman responsible for the fame of Livingston & Stanley! This book is a wonderful, sweeping story of Livingston’s sister, the woman who left her small Scottish village and travelled to the dark continent to “rescue” her brother. It’s the story as we should have learned it - well written, with terrific characterization. It explores all the social constricts of the day, that women faced and gloriously tell how Livingston’s sister “showed up” the male establishment, forging her own relationships in the journey, including her relationship with the African guide. This book is a winner on all levels; it’s a story that deserved to be told and a book that demands to be read!!

    Thanks for your feedback!
