    Amazing bravery in WW2

Dedication and resourcefulness of Rosie sustained by the author to the end. At times the Navy detail was too much so I was tempted to skip past it to get back to Rosie's.

Not as good a read as book #2 of the series

This is book 1 of the series. I have also read book 2 and it's much better. This one devotes far too much time to landing a boat in France and then to a very unfortunate event. I suggest starting the series with Book 2.

    It has potential

I was drawn to the promise of a strong female spy story. All the parts are there, but since the story is mostly told and not shown, the reader misses out on the full effect. I loved Angel and all of the resistance operatives. I loved the settings ~ the author excelled in describing some places, especially aboard ship. But I was constantly being brought out of the story because of the uneven writing style. I am intrigued and care enough about the characters to read the next book, but am not dying to get my hands on it right away. It took me a long time to finish this book because it unfortunately wasn't terribly compelling. It's great escapism and would make a good beach read..

Enjoyable read, slightly different for author, looking forward to reading the next in the series
