  • 4.5 Sweet and Steamy Stars

My Rating: 4.5 Favorite Quotes: He'd recognize her voice till the day he died. His brain had already found a safe place for its keeping. ...building a life is about taking the pieces that matter and figuring out how to fit them together. You should know that want and should are having an epic battle in my head right now. I'm going to fall for you Duchess. Hard. Don't know if it's just for now or forever, but if it's not okay with you, tell me now. What if each thing I want is a puzzle piece, but they belong to different puzzles, and I can't figure out how to fit them all together. My Review: Katy Regnery writes amusing, sweet, and sexy stories with adorable, enigmatic, and endearing characters, even though I am highly envious and should despise them as they are filthy rich, remarkably attractive, and highly successful. I first fell in love with Ms. Regnery's English Brothers then switched up to the Winslows, and am now enjoying the Rousseau clan. I am ever so glad Blueberry Lane is a large neighborhood.

  • 5+ STARS! KATY REGNERY HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!

A sure sign that at a story has captured my heart is when the characters continue to flit through my mind even after I have finished reading their story. Well Katy Regnery has once again achieved that accomplished with Jonquils for Jax. She has taken me back to her Blueberry Lane series in spectacular fashion. Gardener and Jax intrigued me from the moment they met giving me a deep sense that this couple was going to touch me...and they definitely did. After being hounded and chased by the paparazzi in California, Jax returns home seeking shelter and privacy. After an unfortunate incident while working in Philadelphia, Gardener has secluded himself to working in the gardens of one of her neighbor’s homes. When Jax unexpectedly runs into Gardener, despite his brusque exterior, she quickly becomes intrigued and can’t seem to get him out of her mind. Although Gardener initially envisions Jax to be a “duchess,” his thoughts likewise seem to return to images of her as well. As they agree to a boundary of friendship, they begin to find a solace with each other which they had never before experienced. Despite the different worlds they come from, both Jax and Gardener begin to sense a mutual attraction that neither of them can ignore which quickly leads their hearts to a love they never expected to find. Jonquils for Jax is a beautiful and tender love story, and the deep connection and passion Jax and Gardener shared made my heart flutter. From the moment they met, it was as though their souls became intertwined. They seemingly had the ability to read each other’s thoughts and to sense what the other was feeling. This linking of their spirits leads both Jax and Gardener on a path to opening their hearts to one another as they begin to share their fears and feelings despite their own insecurities. I really loved these two souls and how deeply they connected almost as if they were always meant to find each other. There were even a couple of turning points in their story when I just knew that their bond had been solidified. As I am writing this review, I sit here still with a smile on my face and a bit of a lump in my throat. I don’t know how she does it, but it is as if Katy Regnery can read my thoughts as she knows how to touch my heart with her characters over and over again. I’ve been following...well maybe stalking...Ms. Regnery and her stories since the very first release, and she still continues to wow me each and every time. I have been asked many times which one of her stories is my favorite, and although there are a few that have completely shattered me emotionally (in a good way, of course), I have absolutely loved them all and can now add Jonquils for Jax to that list. Katy Regnery is an enormously creative and talented writer and as long as she continues to write her stories, I shall continue to read them all.

  • Jonquils for Jax

Good read! The two broken people helping each other to find a new life from the damage of the past is heart warming. I really enjoyed the strength of each character. Uplifting for sure.

  • One scene blew my mind ...

With any story whether horror, drama, romance, etc. there is always one scene that triggers the imagination and is hard to let go of over time. For me that was the moonlight garden scene the night Gardner and Jax met. What a first impression. The glowing flowers, the beautiful surroundings, an air of mystery mixed with the magic of simmering attraction. That one scene set the tone for the rest of the story. Gard is a paradox. He enjoys and creates beauty with an artists touch but knows that ugliness can be wrapped in beautiful trappings. Jax has a curiosity for the unknown. It tends to get her into troubling situations but her scars are hidden below her cultured upbringing and have made her wary and determined. Jonquils for Jax is just another reason why Ms. Regnery is a favorite author of mine. She uses a pen like an artist uses a brush. Her stories are born from her love of beauty and becomes more obvious every stroke.
