  • 4.5⭐ A story full of feels.

Just One Scandal the second in The Kingston Family series is quite possibly my favourite Carly Phillips book ever!!! As not only is Beckett Daniels the perfect book boyfriend, but this story had all the feels. Not to mention off the charts chemistry, a compelling rivalry and a touch of heartache. And with a few familiar faces, and some new ones too, I was completely hooked, and can't wait to read Xander's story next. Would happily recommend. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via BookSprout in exchange for an honest review**

  • ***4 Stars***

***4 Stars*** After finishing Just One Night and finding out that Chloe and Beck, of all people, were going to be the next HEA, I was definitely intrigued, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with how everything turned out. Beck and Chloe. I liked Chloe going into this book but I loved watching her come into her own. She had to deal with some hard truths about her life and where she saw her future and I like how she took a stand for herself and grabbed hold of the future she wanted. Beck was one of those characters that I didn’t necessarily like, but was intrigued enough to see what lay beneath the hostile exterior. And though it did take a while for me to come to, I ended up really liking the heart of the man that lay beneath it. Their journey to their HEA was definitely a character driven, character building one. They definitely met under the most inauspicious of times, but I liked how comfortable they were with each other from the get go and all that mattered was that they were Chloe and Beck and none of the outside and past issues mattered. Their bantering was a lot of fun, the chemistry between them was hawt and I really liked how everything worked out for them in the end. I have to admit that while I was interested to see just how Chloe and Beck would get their HEA, there was a big part of me that wanted to see how the whole Linc/Beck situation would play out, and I have to say I like how that all worked itself out. But I really liked getting to spend more time with Xander, Dash and Aurora, as well as meeting Beck’s family, and am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Xander. ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

  • Yes!

Beck gets the girl with Chloe. I love that even though we see Beck and Linc have their issues, it doesn’t take center stage nor does it detract from the relationship between Chloe and Beck. The chemistry was great and we have steam but it’s not overpowering either. It has such a great balance. I loved seeing the other side of the story and how Chloe saw the good in Beck without knowing why the bad blood. The story flows so well and I practically read it in one sitting.

  • Just One Scandal

ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from BookSprout Just One Scandal is book 2 in the Kingston Family series by Carly Phillips and oh my each book just gets better. Love this family!! Up next is Chloe Kingston and Beckett Daniels, ex best friend of her brother Linc. When Chloe is left at the altar she digs into the champagne from the reception and stumbles into Beckett. Something tells Beckett he needs to keep her safe til she can figure out what to do now. What happens when Linc finds out Chloe is staying with Beckett? Can they keep their relationship platonic? Past tragedy, sizzling romance, laughter, tears, repairing friendships and so much more. Can’t wait for the next book in the series…Xander!

  • A strong addition to this series!

Just One Scandal was a great addition to The Kingston Family series! Chloe Kingston is dressed and ready for her wedding, when she receives a text from her fiancé telling her that the wedding is off. Embarrassed and hurt, she doesn't want the pity from her family, so she sends them home and has an unwedding party with her friends. Beckett Daniels and his brothers are at the hotel where Chloe's wedding was to take place and they happen upon the bride and her bridesmaids. The women take notice and invite them to party with them. Beck is intrigued, but when he realizes the would-be bride is his ex-best friend's little sister, he's torn on what should happen next. After taking care of Chloe in her drunken state the night of the non-wedding, Beck is faced with the "morning after" and how Chloe is going to react. She remembers Beck vaguely from when her brother and he were friends, but doesn't understand why they aren't friends anymore because he's been nothing but nice and helpful. When Beck learns she doesn't have a place to live since she was to move in with her husband and she isn't ready to deal with her family, he suggests living with him. She takes him up on the offer. Chloe and Beck fall into living together with little issue, well, outside of the mad chemistry that is pinging between them. With both of them dealing with their own stuff, they are there for one another when they need each other. Will they finally act on the feelings they are feeling or will they continue to fight it? And, where does Linc, Chloe's brother and Beck's ex-friend fit in? I really enjoyed how this book unfolded and the relationship between Chloe and Beck was great. I also liked how Beck and Linc finally dealt with what had gone down between them years before. The next book in this series is really intriguing to me, so I'm really looking forward to that as well!
