Katie agrees to take over running the café. Katie arrives to a neglected building. She sets about building her brand while vowing not to let her heart open to further heartbreak. The last is complicated when she meets her neighbor a hunky artist who has emotional baggage of his own. several set backs as well a s a local businessman with his eyes set on acquiring the café for his financial gain has Katie questioning her decision to own her own business. The path to her happily ever after takes many twist and turns. Helping hands form her quirky new neighbors add to the story. The supporting characters are as well defined as the main characters which add to the rich tapestry the author has woven in this story. It is a feel good novel that is perfect for an escape from the turmoil going on around us.

  • I love new to me authors

I really enjoy reading new to me authors and I wasn’t disappointed with Katie’s Cornish Kitchen. This book is set in Cornwall. This tells the story of Katie, who is trying to find herself after being dumped by her fiancé and losing her job. Is it coincidence or fate that she meets Agatha in Bali? Agatha has the perfect solution for Katie. Go and manage her empty cafe. This is where the book really gets interesting with the wonderful residents and business owners welcoming Katie into their hearts. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I really hope you’ll grab a copy of this wonderful book and take a trip to Cornwall. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

  • Love this author

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary advance reader copy of this book and return for review based upon my honest opinion. This was a great summer read, it was a nice feel-good story. When Katie‘s fiancé jilts her and leave her high and dry she goes to Bali on their honeymoon by herself. When it’s time to go back to reality, she realizes she doesn’t know what she wants to do. Her new friend, Agatha, offers her the opportunity to go to her hometown, a small Cornish town and try to make a go of her café, she has three months to make it successful. Katie takes her up on the offer and we follow her as she tries to navigate this new town, new friends, perhaps a love interest, and just finding herself. It was an enjoyable read and I would definitely look for more books from this author in the future.

  • Predictable ending

I found it entertaining, although predictable. There seems to be so many books with a cafe and desserts! The plot always pretty much the same, hurt by someone and not trusting a new relationship. But nevertheless an easy read .
