  • To expensive

To expensive. Great series but I consider the price way beyond anything reasonable.

  • Great stuff

Ian's books about the 'Malazan' universe are great. I have read all books from both authors and enjoyed every single one of them.

  • Good story, good background, unsatisfactory style

For any who are known with the book of the fallen, these are additional wonderful stories explaining of how things came to pass. The stories in this trilogy are good. The way they are told less so. At times the author is quite heavy handed in giving info, and trying to give some anticipation of invoking some emotion via the thoughts and words of characters. At those times he seems to write more for himself, and his imagination, than for the audience. A more forceful, critical editor would have been good. Despite that, I enjoyed reading the books enough. Also they are probably easier to read than Eriksson's stories, although that author has developed into a quiet whose style I appreciate much more. From book 2 onwards, the Malazan book of the fallen has enveloped and moved me with the fortunes and misfortunes of the people and characters inhabiting this wonderful world.

    Thanks for your feedback!
