  • Don't wait too long to read this

Honest and difficult. A tough read. Read it anyway so you have a better chance at sacred rather than profane experiences with death and dying. If I would have her do one thing differently would be to refrained some of her advice in terms of preparing yourself and your loved ones. Not just advice for when you are carrying for someone else,

  • Not a good read

Could only read about a quarter of the book. I understand many of the authors concerns as I have been there with family. The suthor is very whiney and blames everything on God, men, the Republicans and the medical system.

  • Does a good job at road mapping the long, expensive, and sometimes unnecessarily drawn out and painful, process of death (in terms of the very aged) in America. Not the deepest read in terms of hospice and palliative care, the author touches on both, but not too familiar- but the book is a good place to jump off and explore slow medicine and a path to a better death.
