  • Historical biography

I enjoyed reading this account of the lives of Lady Catherine, and so many others related to Highclere, the site of the TV series Downton Abbey. I particularly enjoyed the way the book brings to life the period following WWI until the end of WWII. While the book is an historical account of real people, filled with facts and therefore at times a little dry, the characters are described with such affection and depth of knowledge that they come to life, and make for an engrossing read.

    Thanks for your feedback!
