    Leaving time

Seriously this has got to be my favourite book of all time. I have always naturally loved Elephants, they're been my favourite animal since childhood. However, I have never had the pleasure of learning about them in such a meaningful & beautiful way. I was so engrossed in this book I couldn't put it down even at my weakest. My heart bled over those dear elephants & their calves, & also over the strong bond that Alice shared with Jenna. Their relationship reminded me of my own with my 7 yr old daughter. As a toddler, Emma almost lost me due to Stroke. My long absence in hospital distilled in Emma a fear of me leaving & not coming back for many years to come. I shed many tears empathising with Jenna & Alice. As I lay in a hospital bed again recently, recovering from a 2nd brain bleed, I couldn't wait to feel well enough to read again. Once I started on Leaving Time I couldn't put it down. I'm so grateful that I have been able to read this book over the past 45 days (even if it has been in almost solid darkness) because it entertained me through my own pain & suffering. I have learnt so much about the elephant world & also our world. The layers & dimensions of our spirit world has always fascinated me, so this story was an all round winner for me. It's 3am & I am all hyped up after just finishing, so please excuse me if I haven't made much sense. I'm onto my next mission now, to buy a picoult book scalf (of course with my favourite animal).

    Not great

I didn't look forward to reading it, but finished it for the sake of it. Probably would have liked it more if I hadn't.

    Great read, highly recommend!

I loved this book, it was very hard to put down. Very easy read, you really get immersed in the story. Loved the twist at the end.

    Wow what a read

I gave up reading Jodi Picoult books many years ago as they all started to have a similar theme but different characters. This book kept me enthralled with a fascinating storyline and then an ending I did not see coming. Well worth reading
