  • Simon says and Daisy says and their lies and lies

I received this book as part of the book a month free download through my Courier Mail subscription so it was possibly not the type of book I would normally read, but I am pleased I did. It was hard to put this book into a category because it was neither one thing nor another. It was part Romance, part Psychological Thriller, part General Interest. It centred on the life of Daisy and Simon and their daughter Millie (or was she) It was cleverly written in the first person from two standpoints, Daisy and Simon and their perspectives on life together or apart when he was incarcerated. The plot seemed to me meandering on and on and did not seem to be going anywhere and then, after 75% of the book had been read, things finally started to happen, and the plot really developed, particularly when Simon dropped the bombshell to his cellmate The storyline then went along at a breakneck speed and did come to a very comfortable conclusion. I was certainly not unhappy with the final outcome but getting through the first 50 off chapters of very little happening was a chore. So, in summary, Was it a good thriller? OK. did I enjoy it? Yes, to a point but I am pleased I read it.

  • Unexpected twists

I liked that I thought this book was predictable only to find a couple of twists along the way. Enjoyable read.
