  • Very Informative Story.

Thisbook This book This book is a must read for anyone unfamilar with those who suffer from heaeing loss and what it's like to have a hearing impairment. Author Noël Holston, whose journey dealing with hearing loss ad deafness is chronicled, explains succinctly just what those with this hanicap-- be it profound or severe-- ~go through in terms of their relationships & communications with people. Holston describes what has for the longest time been known as the invisible handicap or as he states in his own words "a disability of degree." He also takes the reader on his journey, as he calls it, ~on the road to an eventual Cochlear Implant, the ifficulties he underwent, and the outcome (disappointly non-sufficient). A very informative story and an accurate depiction of life with hearing probems.
