  • Not What I Expected?!

Not sure what I expected really? I suppose for whatever reason I expected more humour, in part it was humorous but also honest. It was about life in lockdown and all the stuff in between. We got an insight into Dawn's life from an early age, how her love of food came about and I never knew she went to Drama School in Liverpool my Home Town?! I also never knew she was Friends with the late Caroline Flack, would've loved to have heard more about their friendship but can understand why she didn't divulge too much. How her life really isn't that different to ours especially when there are children to look after, they hold all the cards. Her piece on racism was very interesting and her epilogue brought a tear to the eye. Overall an interesting and satisfying read, look forward to reading her other books now . . .

  • Pat F

Funny, yet sad,the ups and downs of isolation due to covid 19 and it's devistation on normal lives and routines, funny because almost everyone with a family can relate to the chaos that happens when schools closed and parents where left up the creek without a paddle, but somehow managed to get to shore with children in tow.

    Thanks for your feedback!
