    Great intro to promising series

Great sci-fi with a slight touch of romance in the making (part of the series arc?). I loved the world: space travel by folding, ex-mercenaries starting their own shipping company, the clocks controlling fold travel and the mysterious beings who service them. I loved the characters: the flamboyant chef, the undercover clocker, the ex-mercenaries trying to launch their company. The plot worked well. I've got the next book in the series in my cart right now.

    Light wave Clocker

What a story. Charters are strong believable well fleshed out. The plot has more twists and turn than a mountain road. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Thumbs up

    Interesting story concept!

No spoilers*. The description of the book intrigued me so I bought it. I’m glad I did! The story has interesting characters and an interesting story arc that carries through the entire series. The author builds the universe and ties it into the story arc. The main characters are developed with quite a bit of detail and each contribute to the story line. This is a fun, easy read and I have purchased the remainder of the books in the series.

    This book is bad

I generally don't like to write reviews unless I have finished the book. I will make an exception in this case. The book is bad. Really bad. I got about a third of the way through and gave up. Super-left leaning social commentary BUT every character is a stereotype. It's like the author said, "How can I be so inclusive that I end up going overboard and offending everybody!? -- STEREOTYPES!" Rugged manly-man mercenary, check. Outrageous drag queen, check. Awkward fat guy, check. Smart "everygirl" protagonist, check. Clone-of-startrek's-scotty-engineer, check. Overtly-handsome suave fantasy guy, check. UGH.
