  • LION

A terrific journey and a good read. Emotional at times and heartwarming at others. I truly didn't want to stop reading. The ultimate feel good ending after a traumatic start to life. Just amazing how people who are unfortunate enough to be born in such poverty can still find happiness in life. Lessons to be learned there.

  • An incredible Story!

I originally picked up this book as I saw the trailer in cinemas and I knew this was a story I had to read. The beginning of this book was absolutely heart breaking, as Saroo describes the atrocious conditions that he lived in as a child in India. It opened my eyes to the incredible brutality of their way of life. Unfortunately the writing and story telling fell a little flat for me, which is why I rate it 4 stars. But the story definitely made up for it. This story is full of hope, heartbreak and miracles. An incredible book that must be read by everyone!

  • Lion: a long way home

A happy tale of survival in a country the size and population of India. A positive tale of family both biological and adopted. A tale of the miracle of new age technology that assisted in the successful search that would complete a young Indian mans search. A nice positive, happy read.

  • Lion: a long way home

Very intelligently written and in no"frills" English. Good read and does provide food for thought. Having been "to the school of hard knocks" it is easy to relate to.

  • Loved it

What a great book. Could not put it down. A wonderful story told brilliantly. Very moving and I admit I teared up a couple of times.
