    Different but decent

Not what I am used to when looking into an ellen Hopkins books but it's was pretty good. The end left me thinking there should be more. The characters are complex and the content is intriguing. There is just something about this novel that leaves me feeling less satisfied then most of her books.

Highly Disappointed, A Book About Nothing

I’ve been an Ellen Hopkins fan since I was in high school! I haven’t picked up any of her adult books since Triangles and was surprised to see this series. I was excited to read and I have to say, it is not quite up to par with her other works. The MC is very unlikeable. I kept reading, hoping that something exciting would happen. She’d end every chapter seeming like something would happen in the next chapter and nothing ever did. It was all just talking about menial things, like how cool Tara was or how she’s beautiful and refined, rich, all the men want her and blah, blah, blah. We get a whole chapter on a fundraising event and her showing off. I had 50 pages left to go and still, nothing had happened! The ending was incredibly disappointing and it ends in a way that you HAVE to get the next book to see how things resolve because absolutely nothing was solved in this book. I love Ellen Hopkins but this book seemed to be written by a 16 year old girl who had a huge fantasy life. I would recommend ANY of her other books, pass on this one.
