I read Lunch with Mussolini a while ago and really enjoyed the book and the mix of a story from the past merging with a moral dilemma from today. This book has these same elements but for me missed the mark compared to Lunch with Mussolini (book 2 in the series). From the book overview I was expecting to learn much more about Argentina in the time of the Generals but instead this was very character driven. I found the writing style clunky at times and found the ending quite abrupt. For me it was just an ok read, but others in my book club really enjoyed it so I encourage you to read it and make up your own mind!

    Thanks for your feedback!
