The differnt between reality and truth....

This book took me by surprise and I loved it! Such a heart felt story that I was unable to put down. I enjoyed watching this story unfold and follow the main character Alex in her life where she is unable to determine the difference between reality and hallucinations. There was a cute little romance storyline which contributed to the overall insight of Alex's life, without overpowering the main theme. I seem to have a thing for books about mental health issues and Made you up captured the illness of Schizophrenia with just enough detail to provide an insight in the life of someone suffering. This book keeps you thinking right throughout what is real and what is make believe? Great debut novel by Francesca Zappia, looking forward to reading more.

BEST BOOK IN THE HISTORY OF BOOKS

I absolutely adored this book! This is my 3rd time reading this and it still isn't trite. I recommend this book for anyone 13+ or that loves intense YA books. The author's style is so mysterious that it makes you never want to stop reading! my favorite part was the debate over what was real or just a figment of Alex's imagination. I Would not recommend this book for people who are often confused by books with intense plots.

THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD

this book is the heartwrenching tale of misfits, and second guesses of anything. is it possible that everything you have ever seen was just an illusion? for the main character alex you can never be to sure. Francesca Zappia is a mastermind as well as an author she provides the perfect amounts of unforseen plot twists and sarcasm. perfect fo anyone who loved /loves the great literary works of Jenny Han and Ali Benjamin. Well done Francesca. Well done.

    Made you up

I loved this book! I would definitely recommend it to anyone reading YA fiction. The way it Francesca Zappia writes about Alex's mental illness is really interesting. I absolutely love her point of view because, through Alex's eyes, you as a reader can't know what's real and what's not, just like her. I liked the romance, but it also isn't overbearing. Miles and Alex are both such dynamic characters: they're each unusual and unique from almost any other characters I've read, which makes their interactions really fun to read. Overall, I loved it. Definitely among my favorite books for it's genre, would recommend to fans of Zappia's Eliza and her monsters, or anyone looking for a unique read.
